'Oh, Ruskin and Carlyle, but somebody should have been beside Carlyle and punched his head every five minutes.'. -- William Morris on the writers who inspired the socialist movement of the 1880s
DONE!! ...though I failed to mention John Ruskin's EPIC BEARD!
Just gotta print and submit it tomorrow morning and I am golden. What a relief! I will miss this school and all its old musty books. (I just cited a book published in 1909 in my bibliography. Second edition!) I will be happy to be rid of these Norton Anthology tomes but will forever cherish the bits of wisdom they have relayed to me these past few months.. including:
'Marrying is dipping into a pitcher of snakes for the chance of an eel.' -- the unhappily married Rev. W.H. Brookfield
YIKES! Well Zach and Shelley give me hope. And Oliver and Ryan too. Tomorrow I hop on a train to London. During some downtime earlier I watched that episode of Arrested Development where Michael goes to Wee Britain and gets knocked over by a Mary Poppins dummy. Hope my fate in London town is not the same as that of Mr. Bluth's!
I had an awkward farewell with W. Brady & co the other night. He was sewing buttons and I kept my coat on and had some tea and hot cross buns. How very British of us. I gave him this mix I had been working on and I just hope he likes the tunes. I'm pretty picky when it comes to mix-giving. I don't just wantonly hand them out.. I did some calculations the other night in a fit of procrastination and it turns out I have made and bestowed 16 mixes in the past 8 years.. averaging out to 2 mixes per year.. which basically means every year I meet at least two people I respect and admire and feel the need to force my musical tastes upon ..in hopes of forming some sort of musical bond! I do enjoy the whole process and will miss making weekly mixes for my temporary radio show. Life goes on!
Time to eat mosque kitchen leftovers and watch some more arrested development.
Kirsty left! Now it's just me and the boys.

Had to postpone my London trip by a day to retain sanity. I've got an exam tomorrow morning and would have had to hand an essay in a day early had I left tomorrow. Wise decision I think.
Nevertheless, here I am procrastinating. Just read about the upcoming White Stripes documentary "Under Great White Northern Lights" that will come out in March..

http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=101249939 *warning* this video contains bagpipes. I didn't realize it and I frantically started looking around because THEY SOUNDED SO CLOSE. You never know round these parts.
I always regretted not seeing them back when they were playing smaller clubs (like the OLD Lupo's space in Providence..) I remember choosing to see some other band over them. Unwise decision.
I also always sorta maybe had a crush on Jack White but then stopped once he started getting into car accidents with Rene Zellwegger and dressing like/morphing into Michael Jackson (may he rest in peace..)
guhhhhhhh I don't wanna study.

The haar is lingering. It's like an icebox outside.

I'd rather be at Shakespeare & Co. sipping tea and reading a good book.
One exam down, one paper and one more exam to go. OOF!
Gonna go temporarily empty my brain of KripkeFregeDennett DescartesPutnamRussell.
One more week till HOME!
